The Greenhill Hotel near Wigton, is a beautiful red sandstone Georgian mansion, set in nine acres of parkland.

Built in 1804 as a private residence, the building was once an orphanage until it was converted into a hotel in the 1970s.
It is owned by a local family, the Jacksons.  Now a beautiful hotel, it offers a private, peaceful setting for a few days relaxation or perhaps a business meeting.

Our hotel is well known in Cumbria as a gorgeous wedding venue, either for a civil ceremony, wedding reception itself or both.

Private parties can also be catered for here, large or small. Or pop in for a pint, and a bite to eat. Our food never disappoints!
